Another recent love of mine is crafting – it’s how I spend my down time while my husband is studying hard for med school. Again, this love is engrained in me, and has been since I was a child. I’m convinced I got it from my grandmother. I was in 4-H for 9 years, so every summer I spent time with my grandma making various crafts, namely sewing projects, needlecrafts, recycled crafts, jewelry making, gift wrapping, and I don’t even remember what else. It was highly rewarding however, which is why I am so glad to continue it as an adult.
Pinterest is a major inspiration, and building a home with my husband spurs on new ideas for me as well. However, it is one thing to find cute ideas and then quite another to create something from them. I’ve been putting these inspirations into action, which is all very exciting! I love repurposing things from around the house – a trend in the DIY projects I undertake. I hope to recount each of my projects here to inspire you to create and dream up new DIY crafts as well.
